Xbox console exclusive The Gunk has a December 16 release date

The Gunk from developer Image & Form and publisher Thunderful Games now has a release date. It will head exclusively to Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, and PC on December 16, 2021. The Gunk also launches day one in Xbox Game Pass.

While the team previously announced that the game would arrive at some point in December 2021, we now have an exact date, which the team shared as part of a Thunderful Games global presentation on Wednesday.

This third-person adventure sees two friends, Rani and Becks, work to clean the mysterious dirt from a planet while solving puzzles and restoring the harmony of nature. Accompanying the announcement of an official release date, the developers shared a new overview video, giving players a more in-depth look at what to expect, as narrated by Fiona Nova, the voice actor behind Rani.

The Gunk now arrives just days after 343 Industries’ global launch of Halo Infinite, which features free multiplayer, as the campaign launches into Xbox Game Pass.
