Scorn’s Exclusive Xbox Console Release Date Seems To Have Leaked

The Xbox console-exclusive Scorn release date may have leaked early.

As spotted by user KarEnTuk on the Scorn subredditThe game’s Steam database information was recently updated.

These updates included new visuals, a new background for the game’s Steam page, and what appears to be a definite release date of October 21.

This matches developer Ebb Software’s commitment last year that the game would be released in October 2022 after a delay.

Scorn – release date trailer

Scorn was originally slated for release in 2021, before Ebb announced in December that it would be held back until October 2022.

Announced during the Xbox Series X software showcase in May 2020, Scorn is inspired by the work of artists HR Giger (Alien) and Zdzisław Beksiński.

“Scorn is an atmospheric first-person horror adventure game set in a nightmarish universe of eerie shapes and dark tapestries,” according to Belgrade, Serbia-based developer and publisher Ebb.

“It’s designed around the idea of being ‘thrown into the world’. Isolated and lost in this dreamlike world, you will explore different interconnected regions in a non-linear way. The disturbing environment is a character itself.

“Each location contains its own theme (story), puzzles, and characters that are integral to creating a cohesive world,” adds Ebb. “Throughout the game, you will open new areas, acquire different skill sets, weapons, various items, and try to understand the sights presented to you.”

Scorn will be available on Xbox Game Pass at launch. 13 minutes of Xbox Series X Scorn gameplay was released in 2020, but it remains to be seen how much that has changed since then.
