No Man’s Sky – Patch 3.97 is live, new Community Expedition is available

0

Following the release of Endurance, Hello Games released patch 3.97 and added the eighth Community Expedition for No Man’s Sky – The North Star. As the commander of a heavy freighter, players are tasked with repairing it. What led to the current state of the freighter? It’s up to you to find out. Completing all stages of the Expedition allows players to complete it early and convert progress to a save in normal mode.

All saves during Expedition will also be automatically converted to normal mode saves when they finish in six weeks. As for the rewards, players can expect three posters for their base – Pilgrim, Polestar, and Heavy Shipping – as well as a limited-edition freight course. You can also add the Navigation Archive, Data Display Unit, and Flaming Barrel decorations to your base.

Finally, there’s a cool Fleet Commander’s cape to commemorate your Polestar voyage and a Child’s Egg of Helios, which hatches a Spectral creature to accompany you. For more details on patch 3.97, check out the full release notes below. Although the developer is currently “taking time” to resolve various issues, it promises even more content and “surprises” for this year. Stay tuned in the meantime.
