More original Xbox games could arrive on Game Pass in November

A rumor surfaced earlier this week that more original Xbox games may be coming to Game Pass through Xbox’s backward compatibility program, and a Microsoft Store datamine potentially confirms this.

As reported by TrueAchievements, XboxEra’s Nick Baker tweeted earlier this year claiming that the backward compatibility program had not been done and that there would be a new batch of original Xbox and Xbox 360 games later this year.

Baker tweeted again, claiming that a datamine had revealed the names of some games, but “sometimes OG and 360 games are tested for BC but don’t make the cut so I won’t list any games not to define d ‘expectations’.

TrueAchievements reports that it discovered that seven original Xbox titles were added to the Microsoft Store from the old Xbox 360 store in September – all of them had a launch date of November 30, meaning they could arrive next month.

The games are: Dead or alive 3, Ultimate Dead or Alive, Full Specter Warrior: Ten Hammers, Gladius, Gunvalkyria, Advent rising, and Little chicken.

The latter is certainly a strange choice, but Dead or alive 3 was one of the most well-received Xbox launch titles, and its availability on the Microsoft Store would be a nice gift for fans on the console’s 20th anniversary.

Again, it should be noted that this is currently only speculation, and you shouldn’t hope as games are frequently tested for backward compatibility without ever being relaunched.

The backward compatibility program ended in June 2019 so the Xbox team can focus on playing Xbox One games on the Xbox Series X | S – now that the job is done, they might have time to resume the old program to bring more fan favorites back.

In other news, Diablo IV has a new game director and classified tank information leaked Thunder of war forums – again.
