Leak of the new Xbox console | EarlyGame

So apparently the next Xbox console has been leaked. Are we excited about it or don’t we care at all because it’s Xbox?

Can you believe it’s been two years since the release of the Xbox Series X|S? Probably, because the hype around the next-gen Xbox wasn’t as big as the next-gen PlayStation.

However, Microsoft does not give up running after Sony. Game pass and Acquisition of Bethesda aside, they are apparently working on a new console! No, it’s probably not the next next-gen console (also, when can we stop calling the current generation next-gen?), but rather an upgraded version of the Xbox Series X|S (if that’s is even a console, but more on that in a second). Think Xbox One X or PS4 Pro.

Anyway, I’m moving forward. Here is the leak:

And that’s all. It’s the leak. Placement is the important part here as it’s under the old Xbox console codenames, which makes us think it’s about hardware rather than something else. This is by no means a confirmation, but it is something to keep in mind.

Tero Alhonen is a fairly Microsoft-dependent leaker, but so are every other leaker in the Twitter leak sphere at this point, so you’ll have to take this with your usual grains of salt.

It would make sense for Microsoft to be working on an updated version of the Xbox Series X|S, although the release – if it’s even console – will be in the future… not the near future. Some people still haven’t gotten their Xbox Series X, so imagine them releasing an upgraded Xbox Series X now… doesn’t really make sense.

Microsoft has of course made no statement regarding Xbox Keystone, but once they do we will update this article.
