GameStop will sell PS5 bundles online today and in stores Friday


GameStop plans to offer a new batch of PS5 consoles for purchase online on Tuesday ahead of a rare in-store restock on Friday.

Digital Edition console bundles will be available today and standard PS5 disc models will hit stores on March 11, the retailer has confirmed.

All packages will be reserved for customers with a GameStop PowerUp Rewards Pro subscription, which costs $14.99 per year.

On Friday, a bundle of PS5 disc consoles will be available at select GameStop stores for $795.

It will include the console, Gran Turismo 7 25th Anniversary Edition, Horizon: Forbidden West Limited Edition, a DualSense charging station made by PowerA, a blue PS4 HyperX Cloud headset, and a $50 PlayStation Store gift card.

On average, only four to eight PS5 consoles should be available at each participating store, but the number of participating stores would be larger than was the case with previous restocks, the last of which took place on January 27.

Sony has rolled out a new PS5 system software update today, which it claims improves performance.

And he announced plans to air a new State of Play presentation on Wednesday. It will focus on announcements and updates for upcoming games on PS5 and PS4, with “a particular focus” on highlighting titles from Japanese publishers.
