Today, Frontier Foundry celebrates the release of FAR: changing tides, the next installment in the FAR universe from developers, Okomotive. The game is available on Xbox Series X | S, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Switch, Steam and Epic Store, now.
The FAR universe of Okomotive expands today as players traverse a flooded landscape on a meditative journey with FAR: changing tides, the latest release from Frontier Foundry. With a dynamic soundtrack, painterly art style, and heightened verticality with the dive feature, this post-apocalyptic adventure aims to deliver a memorable experience for players new to and familiar with the critically acclaimed companion title, FAR: Solo Sails.
Traversing a drowned world in a dilapidated ship, players will control Toe, a lonely boy commanding a ship above and below the waves, through puzzles, flooded civilizations, and unforgiving natural elements.
Lead designer and co-founder of Okomotive, Don Schmocker, said, “What started as a university project with FAR: Solo Sails has grown into a 10-person studio, two games, and over six years of wonderful memories made at Okomotive. Our development journey for FAR: changing tides is over, but we can’t wait to see how our players experience their journey through this wonderful world.
Throughout the campaign, a number of activities and partnerships have been revealed along the way to celebrate this unique and beautiful game.
Senior Director of Publishing and Publicity, Chad Young, said, “Okomotive’s passion for their craft and the incredible experience they provided is a perfect example of Foundry’s purpose: to help teams to create the games we want to see. We lent our support to the studio, and their vision resulted in a game that was both beautiful and moving, and we couldn’t be more proud of them.
The game is available on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Switch, Steam and Epic Store now.
