Age of Empires 4, the latest entry in the long-running real-time strategy franchise, is now available on PC. The game was developed in collaboration between the Xbox World’s Edge proprietary team and Sega-owned Relic Entertainment. While PC gamers are already enjoying the clash of various historical factions, there is no console version, so everyone on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, or Xbox One is still waiting for an Age of Empires console experience.
It looks like these fans shouldn’t be giving up hope just yet. In an interview with Multiplayer.it (as shared by @Klobrille on Twitter) which took place days before the game’s launch, World’s Edge Creative Director Adam Isgreen shared some hope for fans wanting to see an Xbox console version of Age of Empires 4.

“As soon as we’re done managing the PC release of the game, we’ll start thinking about how to make the game work on consoles. We don’t have any final plans yet, but now we’re really going to start thinking about it,” Isgreen explained.
Age of Empires 4 isn’t the first Xbox Game Studios title to arrive on PC first, with turn-based strategy game Gears Tactics and Flight Simulator also launching PC several months to a year before the console version.
